Disruptive Technologists Lauren Keyson sat down with Greg King, the Chief Development Officer of the startup nonprofit organization called Changing Our Perspective to talk about it and their new app, “Creator”.

“Our app is a centralized incubator of curated information and resources. It’s about getting information to communities that don’t have ready access.  We live in a day where there is a lot of information and technology out there, but a lot of times in the communities that we are focusing on, that info doesn’t get all the way down to the individuals that need it.”

“So we created a centralized hub of curated info and resources and local organizations that are doing the ‘boots on the ground work’ — we’ve partnered with telehealth, mental health, education, financial literacy, and nutrition resources. Basically, we just want to provide as much access for people in rural and disadvantaged communities to know what options they have. We want to connect people with the actual organizations and resources they need to get tangible help. It’s discovering, connecting, and showcasing their change.”

Mike Singletary, NFL Hall-of-Famer, is Greg’s inspiration. As Greg explained, “they had the same heart” and wanted to make an impact. Together they are creating an app that is built on advanced innovation that is opening up new opportunities for transformation.
